Welcome to Devon Parkour
Devon Parkour is the south west's largest online parkour/freerun/street stunts community, run by a group of traceurs based in the South Hams. While our primary focus is parkour, we encourage similar activities such as tricking, street stunts and martial arts. We frequently attend gatherings all over the westcountry including Plymouth, Exeter & Taunton; training with other groups such as Escape Parkour, Les Voleurs and Levity.

"Are you aged 15–19? Want to make film about you and your mates? We need young people to tell us about their love-life and friendship dilemmas. How do you manage those tricky relationship issues? Love, jealousy, heartbreak, temptation, fancying a friend, keeping/losing your virginity, pressure to conform etc
Here’s the idea…
Take a camera. Record your story. Pass it to your friends & get their advice. We want to see how you & your mates support & help each other out.

Parkour.net Closed
Parkour.net has been taken offline. It appears that the owner of the site, Jerome Lebret was contacted by David Belle and David's brother, Jean-François Belle requesting that anything refering to David Belle, his family, the Yamakasi, or the word 'Parkour' must be removed else action would be taken. Some speculate that David is trying to take ownership of the word 'Parkour' and how it is used, making threats of legal action to enforce his wishes; however the general concensus is that he wouldnt have a leg to stand on, as the word has long been in common use and was never protected by a trademark.
It does seem somewhat counter-productive to request the closure the one website seen to be promoting the practice of 'pure parkour' more than any other. Again, speculation here is that this is because parkour.net also supported 'l'art du deplacement', a variation of parkour developed by the Yamakasi. This suggestion seems to be supported by the recent opening of the Yamakasi Academy in Belle's home town of Lisses.
No doubt parkour.net will release a statement to clarify the situation sometime soon.
District 14 (Banlieue 14)
"A sequel to the 2004 French parkour action film District B13 is set to begin production in July. Written by Luc Besson, and directed by Patrick Alessandrin (Mean Spirit, August 15th), the sequel will be titled Banlieue 14 (or District B14 in the states). No plot details have been released, we only know that an open casting call for parkour practitioners has been put out on the official blog. The first film is best known for it’s intense parkour chase sequences."
If District 13 was anything to go by then this should be one to watch! Expect to see more big names from the parkour and tricking communities.

Parkour Magazine
While many have tried and failed in the past, one of our members is keen to produce a monthly parkour magazine and would be interested in recieving some feedback regarding the type of things the community would like to see in publication of this type.If you were to buy a parkour magazine, what would you expect to see in it ? What would you like to see? What wouldnt you like to see?
